The Sunn- Terra-Therm® storage technology is based on the year-round available solar heat. Earnings are stored by solar collectors and here mainly with the company Solimpeks hybrid collectors in the system.

The innovative VOLTHER hybrid solar thermal and photovoltaic panels combine in a collector and thus produce heat and electricity simultaneously. The VOLTHER hybrid collectors of Solimpeks consist of a photovoltaic module and solar thermal absorbers arranged underneath. The photovoltaic element transforms the visible fraction of the incident sunlight into electricity. The absorber absorbs the warming infrared portion of sunlight and transfers the heat to the use.

The special feature here is that when VOLTHER hybrid collectors, photovoltaic modules cooled due to heat absorption by the solar thermal energy and thus more efficient. This is important because in general the efficiency of photovoltaic power generation between the modules significantly with increasing heating by the sun goes down. It would represent a loss depending on the type of solar cell at 0.33 to 0.50 percent per degree of warming. The VOLTHER hybrid collectors are never warmer than 70 ° C, thus ensuring in particular in strong sunlight for up to 50 percent higher current yield than comparable non-cooled solar power modules.

The hybrid collector VOLTHER Powervolt is designed for users who want to, with the Solar thermal and photovoltaic but expect optimum performance. A special PV- glass on the outer surface allows the relevant wavelengths of sunlight to 700 nanometers maximum permeability. With a photovoltaic output of 200 watts is VOLTHER Powervolt one of the leaders of the new hybrid technology.

Volther ™   Powertherm   180W

The focus of hybrid collector VOLTHER Powertherm is on a particularly efficient solar thermal power with a peak output of 680 watts. By the use of low-iron, tempered solar glass infrared radiation, especially at wavelengths above 700 nanometers is absorbed optimally. In addition, the VOLTHER Powertherm profiled with a photovoltaic power rating of 180 watts as quite powerful generators.
